Licenses & EMVco Guidelines

We, Tapyble Inc., hereby declare that our product—Tapyble NFC Smart Business Card and its companion mobile application—does not process, facilitate, or simulate any form of payment transaction. Our product uses NFC technology strictly for contactless sharing of digital profiles, including but not limited to social media links, websites, portfolios, and contact details.

Use of the Contactless Indicator:

Tapyble uses the Contactless Indicator (four arc symbol) solely to visually reflect the NFC capabilities of the physical card and in-app experience. This usage does not suggest or imply payment functionality, integration with payment systems, or any association with EMV payment networks.

We have reviewed and comply fully with the following official documents issued by EMVCo:

  • “01 - EMVCo Contactless Indicator Reproduction Requirements (Nov 2019)”

  • “08 - EMVCo Contactless Trademarks - Acceptable Use Case Guidelines (Rev. 21 August 2014)”

Under these guidelines, Tapyble’s use of the Indicator qualifies as a non-payment use case, which:

  • Does not require EMVCo certification or approval for payment systems

  • Does require adherence to brand use guidelines, including design reproduction, orientation, and attribution

We have completed the EMVCo Non-Payment Use Request Form and received confirmation of approval for usage within the permitted scope.

Required Trademark Attribution:

In accordance with EMVCo guidelines, we include the following attribution in our mobile application and associated digital materials:

“The Contactless Indicator mark, consisting of four graduating arcs, is a trademark owned by and used with permission of EMVCo, LLC.”

Summary:

  • Tapyble is not a payment product

  • Tapyble does not emulate any debit/credit card functionality

  • Tapyble’s use of the Contactless Indicator is purely visual, representing NFC-based tap-to-share functionality

  • All use is licensed and compliant with EMVCo’s non-payment trademark guidelines
